For this assignment, each partner would read a historical article, then have to describe it to the other. The other would have to make a summary. I used communication & interpersonal skills for this assignment, both with getting my information across, and trying to figure out what my partner was saying to me. I’m pretty happy with how far & in depth we got, as neither of us were very confident. We ended up doing well. I developed my 24st century skills very noticeably, as the next day when we had a similar assignment, I was able to communicate much better. The difficult part was deciding what parts were worth remembering & explaining to my partner, and what parts I could gloss over and not get sidetracked on. This was a bit hard considering the length of the article, which was pretty long. I would’ve improved my work by reading the entire article first, then just deciding after which parts were worth telling to my partner. This doesn’t relate to much we’ve done in the past, I’ve actually never done an assignment like this before (to my knowledge.) I can apply this to future learning when describing something to a partner in the future, though next time there will probably be less of a time difficulty.
